In '60-'62 models, you need a "horse-shoe" mount (looks like a big "U" with a rubber mount on the bottom and two bolt holes at the end of each leg). It will mount in the center of the front engine crossmember and uses the (4) frount mount bosses on the SBC (one may have a bolt in it, it goes through to the fuel pump rod; make sure the bolt you use is not too long or it will interfere with it). On '63-'66 trucks, the side mounts are used.
I am talking strictly stock installations; there is no reason you can't weld or bolt-in a crossmember to support your engine. smile
