Hiedts kits work well and install very easily.. assuming you have access to a good welder... just measure everything about 50 times, mark the center line of the wheels.
Also, if you want the lower stance, specify that you want the 2 inch drop spindles.. (my 39 sat a bit low for my liking with the 2"drops) or get the stock height spindle for a higher stance.
I also found a 76 chevy pickup in a junk yard and pulled off all the brake system parts for my truck (no vacuum assist, front disk rear drums)... it works very well.
