Forget the vacuum gauge. Use a timeing light &
line up the ball in the flywheel with the vacuum
line disconnected.than kick it up about 5-7 degrees. Than hook the vacuum up. Turn
the idle mixture screw in slowely till the engine
starts to slow down. Than back it out a half turn
or were the engine runs smoothest. Road test it.
It should run like a top. If it pings under hard
acceleration drop the timeing back a little. smile
