| | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 96 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 96 | I was playing with my 1952 1300 this afternoon when I heard a funny noise. I looked at the engine and saw the fan was turning at an odd angle.I shut her down and realized my new rebuilt waterpump(1000 miles max) was wobbling at the pully.
So I removed the pump and took a good look and noticed the "can "
where you bolt the fan to was loose.
Lucky for me the rad didn't get punched. The place where I got the pump from will replace it.
My question is : what caused this ? Everything is in perfect alignment and being a generator I am not running the belt "dead tight? | | |
