For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 230 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 230 | A dumb question. Some of you all have referred to a 10 bolt and a 12 bolt, which is the number of bolts in the carrier (I guess)and some of you have referred to the ring gear size (I think) of 87/8" and 93/8" . Please help me with these definitions in terms of this: I have a '62 1/2 ton c-10. If I were to take the differential out (3rd member) of my truck, what info or measurements do I need to identify what it is so I can get the right parts for it. I am excluding the gear ratio which I know how to compute. Thanks in advance. | | |
