Actually, there is such a thing as a "conversion joint" that will have two different diameters or widths, depending on your need. Any good driveline shop will know............Might cost you $20-$25 for one U-Joint though

I had to get one when I had a '68 Chevelle w/factory 4spd. I put an M-22 in it (Saginaw 4 spds are WEAK) and they use a larger slip yoke (same as TH-400), so a conversion joint solved the problem.
Also, some F O R D's actually came stock with "goofy" U-Joints like that............typical "Blue Oval" engineering :rolleyes: :p
