It seems to me that it's worth what you're paying for it (nothing). Take it home, tear it down, check it out. If it's toast, follow Tony's thought process and go find a boat. But for all you know it may be worth your time. I've seen worse work out fine.
Risk with no dollars attached is a good thing.
Think of it as picking up a lottery ticket found on the ground. It may be garbage, it's not a million dollar winner, but it could be worth a buck or two. What's it worth for scrap iron at least???
