I've solved this problem by purchasing from JC Whitney a perma-cool fuel filter/Water separator. Fuel contamination is a fact of life. I mounted it just outside on the frame near where it comes out of the tank, running the lines up over the frame. The filters have a water drain and are a 2 micron filter. By far the best filter I've tried. I know I have crap in the fuel tank -even after cleaning however whats different now is I don't care.
