Took a nice long drive today. 15 miles. I stopped at a coffee shop for about 5 minutes and when I got back in the truck, it would not start.
The base of the carb was covered` with gas. When I tweaked the throttle, gas sprayed out of the spot where the shaft of the butterfly sticks out. I fiddle-farted around for a few minutes and then sat down a drank my coffee. I figured I'd pour an ounce or two of gas down the carb and see if it sparked at all. It coughed a bit and then caught and I drove the rest of the way to work.

1. What do you think happened?
2. What causes that gas to leak?
