I am running 1966 carter avs carb on a 327 in my 64 pickup that floods (sometimes to the point that gas is actually on the intake) when the engine is shutoff when hot. I have tried resetting the float with no luck. I have been told my carb is junk but don't believe it. Is it possible that the heat exchange under the carb is full of carbon and causing it to "boil" over? Any ideas?
