Boy have you guys got some nice old iron! We have a '42 Chevy p.u. that I will probably get started on in the near future. Body is in real good shape. What work it needs I can take care of. One thing though is the fact that my significant other(who actually owns the truck, dontcha love it?)wants to make sure that when it is done, it will be a daily driver. Now I'm looking for opinions here as to wether or not to change out the motor and tranny to something more updated and easier to find parts for and wondering if I should also update the rest of the driveline up to and including brakes. I'm sure this has been bantered around a few times but it appears that there is a lot of knowledge floating around this forum. One other thing, she wants me to paint it purple?%$@!
