Back on my project of switching from 3 speed column to Hydra driveline/Chassis. Hit a snag today, went to start engine and check soundness before starting body switchover. Engine turned over too slow. seems too tight. Pulled starter to take it and have checked. Noticed no bolts in torque converter to engine so I am kinda hoping it is just in a bind there. Did not realize engine and trans had been apart but will get past that one. My question is a little farther into future but I have aquired the neutral start switch bracketry. Need to know how starter switch and neutral switch are wired. wiring diagram seems unclear. Assume neutral switch would just be in series with starter solenoid? Also, Have not pulled trans off yet. Is there only one way torque converter bolts up? offset bolt pattern? Sorry for the lengthy post. Think I may just be blowing off steam from my disappointment. Engine and trans were supposed to be pretty freshly rebuilt and running well when pickled a couple of years ago. Just hoped for a more promising weekend. Thanks for all the help. BTW am working on 54 Chevy 3100. G.H.
