For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 | I bought a new water pump from Jim Carter for my 49 1/2 ton (original 216). The diameter of the hub on the front of the pulley is slightly larger (1/4") than the one I am replacing and the fan blade will not seat. The rivets holding the blades together hit the hub and wil not let it go to place. Anybody had similar experience. The old one is stamped GM and has been welded to repair so I assume it could be orig. Do I have to change out the pulleys? Why do the replacements not fit? Thanks for any replys | | |
