If you have the points set correctly THEN se the timing(by the book),it narrows it down to the fuel going through the carburetor.Possibly dislodged some small spec of crud from one place and it is now lodged elsewhere.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
