I think those other makes are complete different animals all together, from what I understand this "truckstell" (forget the tiptoe matic part) was Chevy only.
I did score according to the guy in the link, his name is George, I'm just amazed at how few there must be and how few people have experience with this particular unit. One of my concerns was it must have not performed very well or had breakdown problems, but according to George it's almost bullet proof. Again, he's driven across country several times with it, in a '38 no less!!
AND,,,, a co-worker just looked at a A.D. panel that had one in it and he saw a '48 woody at a car show that had one in it, both chevy's of course.
