55 GMC,powerglides were all 2speed never a 3speed right up to there demise/replacement with the turbo350 in the late 60,s. the only diff was the early glides were all cast iron cases thru the 62 model yr.63 on had an aluminum case and had the same boltup pattern as a small block v/8.
