I just went out with pad flashlight and wire brush in hand. I can't find any other numbers on the starboard side of this thing unless the starter motor is bolted over it! However I did find a casting number on the port side way back on the flang thingy that the tranny attaches to.

It don't match any numbers on the inliner page Close but not quite. Seems to fall in the 42 and up range. I also checked out GMC numbers not even close. Help! Ron :confused:
