Sounds like the knob/cable may have been replaced.
No "C" on the '64 knob, not sure about the '60 - '63 ones. Knobs L to R - Headlights, Wiper, Choke (Steering Wheel) Ign switch, Lighter
As a side note, from the paperwork I found in my truck, looks like it lived in Cody, then went to DuBois, then out here to Kalifornia in the late '60s. Last time I was in Buffalo was in 2000 on my way to Sturgis.
