AD, gmc/chevy after wwII, with everyone returning from the war the auto buissness went back to making cars and trucks using the 1942 styles. then in the middle of the 1947 model year gmc/chevy came out with a whole new design known as the "ADVANCE DESIGN" which ran from the middle of the 1947 model year to the 1955 model year when they came out with the 1955 2nd edition.
