Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 2,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 2,644 | My VIN number is 9JPLxxxx and on both of the VIN number "translation" sites I get that it's a 1951 model assembled in Norwood Ohio in December of 1951.
It has side cowl louvers on the passenger side, push-button door handles and the engine has casting numbers on the forward right side of the engine which appears to be a 1952-53 block because it has the three bosses on each side for the motor mounts but that is not where the engine is mounted.
I can't read the engine casting numbers clearly but will be getting it up on a lift here in the next couple days.
Is there anything in particular that I should look for in the engine casting numbers/letters? | | |
