Longbox, Your right it was explained wrong to me. GVW does include the trailer tongue weight though. An approximate for tongue weight is 10-15%, so that would be 4775 GVW. A 3/4 ton starts at 5,500 and a 1 ton at 6,700. The 1 ton would have bigger brakes.
