The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Any problem replacing frame rivets with bolts?

Trying to get the frame and other parts on my '72 cleaned up and it would be MUCH easier if I could grind off the rivets for shock perches, leaf spring mounts, etc. and replace them with bolts when I'm done with rust removal and painting. My top concern is always safety, so is there a problem with this idea? If not, what grade hardware should I use to replace the rivets?
