LONGBOX55 'Bolter L Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 DANVILLE IL	Yup, 1956. GMC also offerd a few options that the Chevrolets did not offer until the '60 model year or later. Namely, a V8 engine and an automatic tranny. Bill Burmeister
