Well, I'd have kept the split rims; Got enough experience with them that I'm not scared of working on them, even on the side of the road - you can use chains to wrap them instead of a cage - but I couldn't find decent tires for them, except for Chinese bias-ply tires of unknown quality, and at vast expense. I posted a thread about it a long time ago without satisfactory result.
I found these used rims and locally remanufactured steel radial tires for less money than I'd have spent on the offshore things, and got the same tread height with far superior tires and lighter, stronger rims. I am well pleased. One day I might attach clips so I can mount hubcaps, but for the moment I'll forgo such frippery and just pack on the freight. I'd be reluctant to do something like this:
