My '54 1-ton was originally equiped w/ a 9 ft. bed. I have the orig. running boards for the truck. The prev. owner capped the boards to fit the image of the truck. Also had a '91 Fltsd bed w/ fat fenders on the outside. It got hit in Jan. by a hit&run taking out the Leftside of the bed & rearend. We swapped out the '68 Impala 10 bolt(2.68) for a'70 Imp. 12 bolt(3.08). Had to replace the entire rear suspension. New tri-four link w/ 8 in. airbags good for 2800 Lbs. I'm building a flatbed (all wood) for it. I want to mount short boards under the cab only.
