Don, I've been looking for the same instructions since I'm thinking bout adding one to my '50, 3604 down the road, tain't found any yet either. What I may end up doing is running a steel line parallel to the fuel/vacuum advance lines and bring it up to the carb. From there I was going to tee into the manifold vacuum line. I was under the impression that this was a vacuum assist and not a sole source for the wiper vacuum. When the throttle is closed and the engine is idling (max engine vacuum) I would think that the pump would be at minimum vacuum, with the throttle open, at high power or rpm the manifold vacuum is lowest and the pump vacuum would be highest.
Now I'm still mulling it over in my mind how this is going to affect the manifold vacuum and carburetion when the throttle opens. I could swear that I had seen instructions for the pumps installed this way somewhere but can’t find it now.
I would expect that if you spend upwards of a hundred bucks for a double action pump that you would get some sort of instructions with it.
