I have a '48 ¾ ton Chevy that I want to put disc brakes on. I don’t know of anyone that sells a disk brake conversion for a ¾ ton, so I was wondering if it’s possible to turn my spindles down so a ½ ton conversion kit would fit my stock spindles. I have access to a machine shop, and the work wouldn’t be a problem, but I’m not sure it’s even possible. My only other option would be to switch out my stock axle and spindles to a ½ ton axle set up. Which would be best in your opinion?
I am not concerned about keeping the original wheels.

As usual, thanks for the help everyone!
