Hey TT,
I was gonna tell you that your 235 might already have the front motor mount plate, but I can't verify the 235 I have. I pulled it out of a '60 wagon w/62K miles that had sat for over 15 years and it was a sidemount motor w/front plate on it. The # on the distributor pad is FI223A which I couldn't find on the Inliner's web sight. I will keep looking.
Oh, I say stay with the standard tranny for an easy swap.
