Cowl tag was usually placed on the kick panel on driver's side, up near the dash. Usually does not have the VIN, just the paint code, GWVR, etc. VIN tag was usually on the door jamb, above the window on the driver's side, could also be on the rear part of the door jamb. There is also a VIN stamped into the frame, on the driver's side, on top of framerail, ahead of the main crossmember.
