I have a 1942 235 engine and a 1946 235 engine. Today I noticed that the intake manifolds are different. The intake off the 42 has larger bolt spacing for the carb. Also the the mounting bolts one bolt in from each end are tightening on little ears on the castings of the intake and exhaust manifolds. The 46 does not have these ears and has smaller spacing for the carb. Is one of these not original or what? I am making one good engine outta two and want it to go in my 1946 truck and kinda look original. Any ideas?
