was gonna try to start my 61 apache today, but when fuel got to the "rebuilt" carb, gas spewed all over my freshly painted exhaust and intake from the throttle plate shaft. I also noticed that the choke doesnt seem to choke when I use the cable that seems to work fine. So I have decided to rid myself of this carb and go in search of another. I am contemplating replacement with a newer monojet with a automatic choke, but not sure if there are any that will fit the intake. Also considering a 2 bbl adapter, and a newer Rochester as an option. Any one care to offer their thoughts and opinions about what I am thinking about? I would appreciate the input. The truck is otherwise stock with a 235, and is to be used as a daily driver, no hot rodding intended for this one. (thats for my 68 CST to handle) Thanks in advance for the knowledgeable input. Tony
