First, there is no other place on an AD (47-55.1) truck that the serial number will appear, other than the data plate.

Second, are you sure the VIN on the title is an AD serial number? The serial number will be a 1 or 2 digit factory code, followed by KP for 1/2 ton, followed by a production month letter (A-L) and then a 5 digit production number. An example could be 21KPC10021. Many jurisdictions used an engine number to title a truck.

As Wade indicates, if the number on the title is a true AD serial number, you can go to any of the usual suspects, purchase a repro ID plate and stamp or engrave the number in.
