| | | | Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2000 Posts: 700 | According to Jim Carter\'s ID page the '39 and '40 had script lettering on the tailgate. The script was discontinued on the '41. Carter states that all other years between '34 and 46 had no script but GMC always used script on their '36 - '46 tailgates.
