thanks all. Kedso, I think your measurement is probably right for the '55 1st series too. U-Haul tells me that it is 80 inches. That just didn't seem right. I know the cab was called the "six footer" but 6'8" seems a bit much.
It just occurred to me that their concern might be the running boards since the rails are below the fenders. Kedso, would it be possible to measure outside to outside at the running boards?
