It's a '55, Don. The bottom 9 leaves are hanging from the lower part of the frame, the top 5 in separate mounts near the top of the frame. All of the mounts are riveted.
Ha, I chromed the wheels when I lived in Pasadena and they held up well, then I moved to San Diego and they went south, literally and figuratively. No more chrome for me.
