The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Reversed Corvair Steering Box?

I'm wrestling with how to shorten the steering column and thinking about using a reversed corvari box mounted where the original box goes, using the original column and a borgesen joint.

Does anyone have any experience with the reversed corvair boxes, like how many turns lock-to-lock are they?

I would love to go with a power steering set up but I just havn't been able to figure out a good way to mount the P/S pump since I've got a/c on my 261.
