I searched high and low on the Internet for a 235 crate engine and was unable to find one. Finally I took my 1957 real pos to Cylinder Head Rebuilders in Orlando. They did a great job in restoring it for me although it was a pretty iffy job.

If I recall, Jaspers told me that they would rebuild "my" long block, the same as a few other rebuilders. Whatever you do stay away from some outfit called remanufactured.com. They have a cell phone operation, and basically take your money and start calling around to find an engine for you.

Carter has long and short blocks in at times. Call them to find out what's available and what is coming in. I don't know if they have turnkey crate engines or not. Good luck to you as believe it or not the 235's seem to be getting pretty scarce.
