| | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 Master Gabster | | Master Gabster Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,983 | Get you a 55 gal barrel, fill it (40 gal) with hot water and add about 200 oz. of lye. Heat the barrel with a wood fire or propane heater under it. Heating speeds up the lye's work. The lye solution works equally well removing paint. The large barrel will allow you to strip a lot of larger parts.
