I used the rubber lines but insulated them with a wrap that will withstand 2000 degrees F proximity temp and 1200 degrees F direct contact. Hopefully that will suffice. My exhaust system will be pretty close to the lines but since I am not a daily driver, I shouldn't wear it out too fast.
