I worked as an extra for a year for Holsom Bread out of Shreveport La. (1962) when I was 19. We drove a few step vans (all Chevies) on the larger routes. However most of our trucks were the box type, Chevy 1 tons with a box. I also worked between college semesters for a bread company and delivered into southern Oklahoma. We used only the 1 tons there, all fords.
