Did you do a "wet" compression test? That will help determine whether rings or valves. Redo the compression test and put about 5 cc of trans fluid in the spark plug hole before taking your reading. Use the same amount in every cylinder for uniform readings
Bad valves will not increase the PSI value. Worn rings will increase PSI Values. You will get a 5-10 PSI increase with good rings and 30-40 or more with bad rings.
Try the local drugstore for a syringe like many use for their kids liquid medicine.

CAUTION USING MORE FLUID OR HEAVIER WEIGHT FLUID CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ENGINE DAMAGE!
