I have been working on a few of my 4-5-6 Chevy trucks the past few months and OLEBLUE received some upgrades since she was featured in the Gallery in March of 2006. This truck had the original under bed spare tire mount, the original factory jack, lug wrench & handle under the driver's seat and the factory oil bath air cleaner, 2-speed Powerglide and 2-to-1 exhaust system. Attached are a few photos of the improvements.
Factory wiper arms, chrome grille & bumper Box stock factory 283cid V8 with oil bath air cleaner Deluxe steering wheel, factory AM radio, factory seat belts & chrome dash knobs Chrome rear bumper, Custom cab sails, tailgate chains and chrome mirrors I plan to repaint the bed wood and wear strips the factory flat black. The tailgate also needs to be repaired and painted to match the rest of the truck. I have a new windshield and rubber to replace the cracked one and I intend to install factory chrome side trim to finish her off.
OLEBLUE starts, runs and drive exceptionally well for a 41 year old truck. The original 283 cid V8 runs so smoothly, it is hard to hear it running while at a stop sign. She is an absolute joy to drive.
