i had the same problem on my 47 fleetmaster with a 350. i put a electric fan in front of the radiator in addition to the stock fan i can sit idle on the hotest day in ca and it wont over heat. it sure made me happy cruisin paso when you see a merc built with unlimited funds overheat and you cruise by them.
