| | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 2,403 Former Workshop Owner | | Former Workshop Owner Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 2,403 | It seems that I remember back 25 or so years ago, that my Dad applied household vinegar to galvanized rain gutters before painting. I think he then applied an oil base primer. I don't remember any problems with the paint not holding. Has anyone else ever tried this?
