I’m interested in the brakes you changed to, want to let us know what you used?

Chevy Duty and American Classic Truck Parts have some of the nicest people around.
They however did not have my mounts complete or the brake shoes, neither Napa.
Comparing the cost to have Ford work on my other vehicle and what I pay out on the Chevy is really reasonable dollar to dollar. Finding the stuff to replace however has been tuff, time consuming more than anything. Just got back from driving it into the San Fernando Valley, from Ventura County. The two short hops on the freeway seems to have helped with freeing things up some.

I found all my brake parts at reasonable prices, higher than for a 1/2 ton, but not too expensive.
Ordered my mounts from chevy duty.

I decided to change to disk brakes and therefore did not buy the original stuff, but I had no problem finding it when I was looking.

Given the choice between a 1 ton or two 1/2 tons I would take the 1 ton any day.
