Well, I purchased all new wheel and master cylinders, hoses, and a "universal line kit", for my '54 1/2T pickup. I'm ready to start but noticed that some of the old lines were smaller. The kit(some 20 pieces, not all to be used) has only 1/4" lines. I checked the shop manual and it says all the lines should be 3/16 on the 1/2 ton, except the crossover from the MC to the passenger side connector, and the "rear axle cross pipe". Well there are 2 pipes needed for the rear axle and does it make sense that a 3/16" line would feed 2 1/4" lines on the rear axle? In checking other suppliers, it looks like many supply all 1/4" unless you request smaller ones. Do I just go with all 1/4"??? Can any one shed some light? I would be much obliged!!
