I take it the band's name is the Layabouts from the first pic. While I prefer the second pic from a purely aesthetic point of view, you may want to see how it looks with the band's name incorporated into the pic. Unfortunately, I don't think you could get a realistic looking license plate if you overlayed the bands name in place of the license plate number. I think that it's important that you incorporate the band's name into the CD cover.
