Besides the legality of it, what about the safety of driving a vehicle without operable wipers. Call me what you will, but you are sharing the road with a bunch of other cars. Besides the issue of your own safety, think about theirs. It's not that difficult to maintain operating wipers and it does not detract from the appearance of the vehicle. Whether or not you can get away with it should be secondary to whether or not it's safe, and it's not safe to drive a vehicle without windsheild wipers. Please, for the sake of the rest of us install windsheild wipers. The country bumpkin stories that 64 Fleetside told may be funny to hear, but they are down right dangerous in the real world that we live in. When people don't use common sense and show consideration for others, that's when we all end up having to submit to increasing government oversight (safety inspections, smog testing, etc.). It ends up costing all of us, even those who maintain a fully operable safe vehicle.
