My basic question is, what do the numbers in the advance design series(3100, 3600, 3800, 4400, etc.) stand for? Do they denote the weight of the truck? Or are they just random numbers? I receieved the title to my 1940 1/2 ton the other day and noticed the weight was 3100lbs, and that got the rusty wheels in my head a turning.
