Called Haggerty Insurance. When i asked if I would be allowed to haul anything in the bed of the truck even on a very infrequent basis (3 or four times a year). I was told that I was not allowed to ever haul or tow anything under their policy. That in essence, "the truck would become a car." frown

The lady that answered my call with Sneed Insurance wasn't certain and transfered me to somebody who wasn't in at the time  . I left a message and hope to hear back from them. Their website mentions no such restrictions anywhere.

Our regular insurance coverage, which the truck is under now, is not for an agreed value (this was fine when the truck was in poor to fair condition). Now that I am nearly done with it, I want it insured for its true value. To do this i could get collector car insurance through our current insurrance company (GMAC), but the restrictions include no hauling, no towing, etc. If I have to go this route, I might as well use Haggerty, as they are cheaper.
